High stakes assessment, authenticity and the internet
Many high stakes assessments in the health professions incorporate highly secure, sequestered and proctored exam settings. These design choices have a long history, originating prior to the creation of the internet. We have yet to re-evaluate the assumptions that support those design choices. In this Lunch and Lab, Sandra will review these assumptions and introduce important considerations to challenge those assumptions. Please join us to discuss this issue and consider possible future directions for designing relevant, authentic, competency-based assessments that can ensure patient safety.
