Generative Futures in Health Sciences Research: How Artificial Intelligence Reshapes Bias, Enhances Academic Writing and Disrupts Student Assessments
Thursday, September 26, 2024
12:00 to 5:00 PM EST
University Club (Alumni Memorial Hall), McMaster University
As artificial intelligence (AI) reaches further into academia and healthcare, we are left to consider the profound implications for research in the health sciences. This one-day conference invites provocative speakers from diverse backgrounds to outline the current state-of-affairs and forecast changes in the near future. This interactive educational event promises engaging discussions and reflective moments, encouraging attendees to reconsider established norms and envision future possibilities.
The event will share best evidence and practice via presentations and small group discussions. All faculties, and career levels – at McMaster and beyond – are welcome to attend!
Light lunch will be served. Networking reception to follow.
Speakers
Dr. Gideon Christian | University of Calgary
Dr. Lorelei Lingard | Western University
Dr. Matthew Sibbald | McMaster University
This event is hosted by McMaster Education Research, Innovation and Theory (MERIT) Program in the Faculty of Health Sciences and sponsored by Physicians’ Services Incorporated.
If you cannot attend in person, consider reflecting with us online (only the plenary presentations will be livestreamed):
